Ok, so im new to street riding, and im lookin for a first bike to really learn on. When i was looking through one of the papers in the area i found a 1993 GS500 and was wondering if this would be considered a good starting bike for someone who has really only ridden basically trails and motocross tracks. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

The GS500 is an excellent bike.Smooth for a twin, runs decent,& gets great mpg.Plus, not much gets torn up if you drop it:)

That's the exact same bike I started on except mine was a 2005 model. It is a great starter bike and if you ever want to go on twisty back roads this is the bike for that kind of thing. It's light, quick, and has great maneuverability.
